Why Choose Warnick & Semder Dentistry For Invisalign?

How Does Invisalign Work?

Invisalign treatment uses customized sets of aligners to strategically place pressure on certain areas of your mouth to shift your teeth into their ideal positions. Each tray is custom-made to fit your unique oral structure for maximum comfort and precise results. They’re made from BPA and phthalate-free plastic that is smooth and virtually unnoticeable when placed over your teeth.

When you visit our office for your initial consultation, Dr. Todd Semder, our certified Invisalign provider, will capture several images of your mouth to determine what type of orthodontic issues that you face. Using all of the information that we’ve gathered, we’ll develop a computerized model of your mouth that shows the progress you will make over the course of your treatment timeline. You’ll wear each set of alignment trays for about two weeks and visit our office every six to eight weeks for a progress check and to receive your new sets of trays. When you get closer to the end of your treatment, we’ll discuss retainer options with you and how you can maintain the beautiful smile that you worked to earn!

What are the Benefits of Invisalign?

Is Invisalign Right For You?

Invisalign is most ideal for patients whose teeth have fully developed. This means that adults and teens are the best candidates to receive treatment, rather than young children. If you have mild to moderate levels of misaligned, crooked or rotated teeth as well as an overbite, underbite, crossbite or open bite to address, Invisalign can be customized to meet your needs. To confirm your eligibility, we’ll perform a detail examination during your consultation.

How Much Does Invisalign Cost?

Orthodontic issues can range from being mild to severe, which is why it’s impossible to place a single default price on Invisalign treatment. The cost of your orthodontic procedure depends on a variety of factors that our dentists will address during your consultation, including how many sets of aligners you need and the severity of your alignment issues. At Warnick & Semder Dentistry, we want to make sure that our patients get the care they need when they need it, which is why we offer additional flexible payment plans through CareCredit.

When you schedule your consultation today, you may also be eligible for our special promotion for Invisalign clear aligners for as low as $129 a month.

Invisalign FAQs

When it comes to straightening your smile, Invisalign clearly has a whole host of benefits over traditional braces. However, before you begin treatment, you might have a few questions about some of the finer details of the process. Not to worry; on this page, we’ve collected some of our most frequently asked questions about Invisalign and answered them below for your convenience.

Does Invisalign Hurt?

When you first begin wearing a new set of aligners, it’s perfectly normal to experience some minor soreness as your mouth gets used to the new appliance. This discomfort should subside after a couple of days. In the meantime, you can alleviate your symptoms by taking an over-the-counter pain reliever like ibuprofen. Keep in mind, though, that Invisalign should cause a whole lot less discomfort than the metal brackets and wires of traditional braces.

Can I Drink While Wearing My Aligners?

Besides water, all liquids will stain your trays in one way or another. Drinks like coffee, tea, red wine, and darkly colored sodas can become trapped between the aligners and your teeth, resulting in discoloration. However, even clear fluids like white wine and clear sodas can stain your aligners over time, drawing attention to the fact that you’re undergoing orthodontic treatment and erasing the whole point of Invisalign being “invisible.” The best way to keep your aligners transparent is to take them out to drink anything besides water.

How Do I Take Care of My Aligners?

Since you’ll be switching to a new set of aligners every couple of weeks or so, you might think that you don’t need to bother taking care of them. That couldn’t be further from the truth. Your aligners can rapidly lose their transparency if you don’t maintain them. They can also trap food particles against your teeth and attract bacteria that cause cavities.

Luckily, it’s easy to prevent that from occurring. After you eat, brush and floss your teeth. Then, gently brush your aligners (do not use toothpaste, as that could be abrasive) and rinse them in cool or warm (NOT hot) water.

Will My Dental Insurance Help Cover the Cost of Invisalign Treatment?

The answer to this question depends on your individual insurance plan. Some plans cover at least the partial cost of Invisalign treatment, while others unfortunately cover none of it. Our friendly and helpful team can take a look at your insurance plan and help you maximize your benefits while minimizing your out-of-pocket costs. And, as mentioned above, we have an Invisalign promotion where you can receive your clear aligners for as little as $129 a month.
